Aerial Photographs of the Intertidal Areas of Wales 1996 to 2002
Stereoscopic aerial photographs supplied by CUCAP (Cambridge University Centre for Aerial Photography) at scale of 1:10,000, CR World (Liverpool Bay Forum), BKS Surveys Limited, ExeGesIS and the Environment Agency for the coast of Wales. The aim of this data collation was to map Intertidal Phase 1 communities (biotopes) both in the field and for the production of digital Phase 1 Intertidal maps on the GIS (MapInfo). Also used for monitoring Special Areas of Conservation (SACs) and Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI) features and intertidal casework. The collation is a complete coverage of the Welsh coast from the Ribble Estuary (England) to the Severn Estuary inclusive.
