The overall purposes of the data capture was to contribute to the JNCC-managed Seabird Monitoring Programme. Local purposes for the data capture were to - Assess SSSI feature condition (seabird assemblage) in two adjacent Sites of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI); - Maintain up-to-date records of regionally high concentrations of seabirds relevent to management of recreation (sea cliff-climbing and coasteering) - Service update/data requirements for local regional marine pollution contingency plans.
