Nutrient Review - Surface and Sub-Surface Phosphate and Nitrogen Loads
Dataset shows the predicted surface and sub-surface phosphorus and Nitrogen loads in transitional, surface water, lake catchment and coastal catchments. based on a land use/land cover and associated loading rates (Kg/5m grid/yr). Estimated amount of phosphorus and nitrates for each 5m grid square that enters the soil by subsurface flow.

The land use modelling undertaken was based on catchment scale assessments. For each transitional water catchment the InVEST Nutrient Delivery Ratio Model was used to map nutrient sources and their transport to water courses with the land uses, soil type, topography and rainfall and the phosphorus load coefficients from the Farmscoper and Lerner models as inputs. Each catchment was analysed at a 5m grid resolution. The modelling resulted in each 5m grid square being assigned a subsurface or subsurface phosphorus/ntirogen load (kg N/yr). T
