Following the rediscovery of adults of the Vulnerable caddis Limnephilus tauricus on Cors Erddreiniog in July and August 2022, its only Welsh locality, an extensive search of 26 locations for larvae was undertaken. The opportunity was taken to look for the Critically Endangered L. pati O’Connor at the same time as the two species are known to occur together although it has never been recorded from Wales (Wallace, 2016).
