Survey of the caddisfly Limnephilus tauricus at Cors Erddreiniog National Nature Reserve (NNR) in 2022
A survey of Cors Erddreiniog National Nature Reserve (NNR) was carried out in order to update knowledge of the status and distribution of the very rare caddisfly Limnephilus tauricus – a species known only from this reserve in Wales. The survey also aimed to locate the even rarer caddisfly Limnephilus pati, which hasn’t been previously recorded at the reserve (or in Wales) but is present in similar habitats within the same flight period.
