Footage was taken in horizontal transect lines along the 6 operational Holyhead Marina pontoons at depths of 0.5 meters and 1.5 meters. The UROV was operated so that it captured footage of the marine growth attached to the pontoon surfaces and allowed for identification of areas where D. vex was present. At times the pontoon surfaces were obscured by heavy algal cover which affected the analysis of the video footage. The UROV was deployed and operated from the surface by a suitably qualified pilot.
