The outputs from the project were a report, GIS layers showing vulnerability levels for features within each site (based on their component biotopes) and a series of excel workbooks summarising vulnerabilities of each site and feature by pressure type. However, any such measures would need to be set in the context of the degrees of uncertainty associated with the outputs along with wider influences on such features. A number of limitations in the model were identified that reduce its ability to map potential Annex I habitat vulnerability. These include the spatial representation of Annex I habitats, the availability of climate change pressure datasets (and their spatial and temporal resolutions), and uncertainty associated with emissions scenarios and climate projections. Further limitations include the fact that other measures associated with climate change pressures that may be important to vulnerability are not accounted for (e.g. seasonal cues, period/frequency of exposure to pressures).
