Clocaenog Forest Windfarm Site Boundary
This shapefile shows Clocaenog Forest Windfarm Construction Site Boundary. The boundary that was granted by the Local Planning Authority and was used as the Construction Design Management Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015) area. These are the final true shapefiles received from the developer (RWE Renewables UK Limited) signifying the end of the construction phase.

1. Site Civils (e.g. turbine locations, track edge, crane hard-standings, culverts, coupe crossing points and all general civils detail etc. etc.): acquired by the Principal Contractor, Jones Bros Civil Engineering UK LTD, as part of the final 'As-built' survey undertaken post construction. A dual-frequency survey grade GPS was used. 2. On-site cable arrays (33kV cabling): this was installed by subcontractor Powersystems UK and the locations were surveyed at installation using a survey grade GPS. 3. Dual transformer 132kV substation to enable the 96MW of power generated from the wind turbines to be exported to the National Grid: this was installed by subcontractor Powersystems UK and the locations were surveyed at installation using a survey grade GPS Whilst all surveys are theoretically accurate to about 0.5m (when related to OSGB/OSTN2) some uncertainties were identified: given the size of the site, the complex terrain, and the degradation of GPS in dense forestry, an overall accuracy of +/- 2m should be assumed.
