This information is different to the previous Flood Map: Areas Benefitting from Flood Defences which only showed the benefit provided in the event of a river flood with a 1% (1 in 100) chance of happening each year, or a flood from the sea with a 0.5% (1 in 200) chance of happening each year. Not all flood defences and areas that benefit from a flood defence are shown.These will gradually be added as information becomes available.
