Scarce Yellow Sally stonefly Isogenus nubecula, River Dee at Bangor-on-Dee 2020
In 2018, a survey commissioned by Natural Resources Wales across the full former range of I. nubecula confirmed that it occurred at five sites on the River Dee, two of which (Bangor-on-Dee and Pickhill Meadows) appeared to support strong populations. In 2020, Natural Resources Wales commissioned a second survey to confirm the continued presence of Scarce Yellow Sally, and six nymphs were found at Bangor-on-Dee on 24th March 2020

The River Dee is hard to kick sample if the river level is too high. Regular reference was therefore made to both the Met Office website for current and long-range weather forecasts and to online data from the Manley Hall flow gauging station on the River Dee located just to the south of Manley House, near Erbistock
