Lineage

The catchments were identified as a priority based upon their failure to achieve good or better status, the identification of forestry as a contributing reason for that failure and at least 30% of the area of the catchment being under closed canopy woodland cover. This data set was created using the Environment Agency (EA) Water Framework Directive (WFD) Priority Catchment Boundaries, published May 3 2012. The Forestry Commission Wales National Forest Inventory (NFI) forest cover types was also used. The NFI was unioned with the EA priority catchments, to gain the information in the ‘Raw Data’ worksheet tab. The Results were than analysed with pivot tables and are shown in the ‘Results’ tab.
