The data collected from Borras Quarry includes 14 psammophilic, 70 aculeate species. The data collected from Marford quarry includes 8 psammophilic and 69 aculeate species. The aim of this data collection was to identify whether the sand quarries supported suitable conditions for invertebrate species, in order to make recommendations for securing long-term sympathetic management of key sites. The diversity of aculeate species recorded from both quarries to date (135 species in total) ranks these areas as the most species-rich sites in Wales.
