The primary objectives were to map the extent and then assess the condition of three Annex 1 habitats (of the EC Habitats and Species Directive), namely 'Active Raised Bog' and the 'Depressions on peat substrates of the Rhynchosporion' (Rhynchosporion habitat) that forms part of it, together with 'Degraded Raised Bog'.
