All sample points within the plots were located by pacing either 10 m or 20 m intervals, following compass bearings appropriate to the orientation of the plot. At each 1 m radius sample point various performance indicator species/condition classes were recorded on pre-prepared recording sheets. Following the recording of sample points, a brief description of the vegetation of each monitoring plot was made.
