There are currently 12 terrestrial sites and 45 freshwater sites, covering a wide range of upland and lowland habitats including moorland, chalk grassland, woods and forests, farmland, small ponds and streams, large rivers and lakes. ECN is the UK member of the International Long-Term Ecological Research Network (ILTER) and of LTER-Europe. Nant Teyrn is a small upland stream on the out flow from Llyn Teyrn in Yr Wyddfa National Nature Reserve. This freshwater Environmental Change Network (ECN) site is co-located with Yr Wyddfa/Snowdon terrestrial ECN site. This dataset consists of the physical and chemical data collected at the ECN freshwater site at Nant Teyrn, Snowdonia. Measurements taken include surface water discharge and surface water chemistry. The physical and chemical variables measured are expected to indicate the possible causes and consequences of environmental change in the aquatic environment.
