Natural Resources Wales' (NRW) Upland Framework
A framework developed to improve the quality and diversity of habitats on Wales' statutory upland sites. The essence of the framework is a map based overview of statutory sites in the Welsh uplands, outlining the future, long-term conservation ideals for each upland statutory site. This dataset is made up of two layers, Upland Framework and the Upland Framework font point. The purpose of this data capture was to develop national and regional conservation priorities by highlighting important features and prioritising their conservation within particular area; and, provide guidance for management planning, including setting long-term objectives and steering management to achieve these objectives on individual sites.

The upland framework maps have not been discussed fully with landowners or other public and voluntary bodies and therefore access restrictions will be enforced untill this has been done. Only NRW staff are allowed access to the dataset at present. This data is owned by NRW. There are no access restrictions on this data. However, there are third party use restrictions.
