Dataset includes species records from 20 study sites, a provisional list of vascular plant ancient woodland indicator species for Wales, broken down by region, results of statistical tests etc. Overall aim was to investigate whether a more robust basis for identifying ancient woodland in Wales can be developed. This included a comparison of the AWI and Epoc 1 County Series OS maps in terms of the identification of possible ancient woodland and a review of the use and reliability of Ancient Woodland Indicator Species in Wales.
