Also recorded is UK and EU legally protected species, Section 74 of the Countryside and Rights of Way Act 2000 (CRoW) species, UK Biodiversity Action Plan (BAP) Priority Species and Red List Birds. The data was collated on behalf of Countryside Council for Wales (CCW) to contribute to the Dyfi Biosphere project. Biosphere Reserves are nominated by national governments and designated under the Man and the Biosphere Programme of UNESCO.
