The Crown Estate: Offshore Tidal and Wave Energy Site Data (3rd Party Data)

This dataset shows the location of offshore tidal and wave energy sites for renewable energy projects issued on Crown Estate owned seabed. Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has access to a number of Crown Estate datasets associated with the offshore renewable industries associated with tidal and wave energy. NRW can use this dataset under the terms and conditions of a bespoke Crown Estate Licence which means we can only use this data for internal business use. NRW has access to two dataset: Tidal Sites and Wave Sites.

Positional corrections of Pentland Firth sites took place on 30th July 2010. Other agreements represent areas for test and demonstration purposes including the latest round that resulted in the award of a number of demonstration zones and sites in June and July of 2014. Five wave sites terminated / lapsed in May 2015.
