Profile lines were observed using RTK GPS along pre-defined bearings as supplied by Shoreline Management to a target depth of -2.6 Ordnance Datum. Each profile line was originally identified on site by a survey marker, comprising either a feno marker in the dunes or road nail on hardstanding. Where possible areas that required gridding were surveyed using RTK GPS mounted on a 4x4 vehicle, and on foot in areas not suitable for vehicles such as mud, soft sand and water.
