This was to support nature conservation initiatives beyond 12 nm North of Anglesey. This multibeam echosounder survey was carried out alongside single-beam data collection, seabed sampling and towed video imaging. Four areas of seabed covering approximately 140 sq km were surveyed and following data analysis, the area of study was broadly characterised by a complex topography and mixed sediment mosaics. The purpose of this data capture was to obtain MBES coverage of the study areas for further interpretation and analysis in conjunction with other data gathered in the area, for the purpose of identifying Annex 1 subtidal habitats. Confidence in data is high. Data depth corrected for tide using POLPRED software which utilises one or more of Proudman Oceanographic Laboratory's hydrodyamic models. CARIS HIPS / SIPS software used to create surfaces and gridded datasets by experienced surveyors.
